Kesari is a Marathi newspaper founded in 1881 by Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak, a prominent leader of the Indian independence movement. It was used as the voice of the Indian national freedom movement.
Bal Gangadhar Tilak published two newspapers — Kesari in Marathi and Mahratta in English — from Kesari Wada, Narayan Peth, Pune. Both newspapers were originally started by Chiplunkar, Agarkar and Tilak.
